Compliments are cream;
We toast our egos dreams!
When served critique; (a dish less sweet);
Well chew until it bleeds!
Words of praise are hollow;
Unquestioningly followed!
But good advice - makes us think twice.
The truth is hard to swallow.

I hope you don/'/t mind,
Gulp, I used to drink Pepsi Cola
from Seven Eleven in a big gulp
when I first moved to the Silicon Valley
some thirty plus odd years ago.
The sweet sugary water with cola
flavorings on crushed ice - not good
for you BTW...
I came from the Midwest, and to me
at age 25 it really seemed like a
completely different world.
And I rushed and rushed to find
work and make a decent living
thinking money would make
me happy, yet always knowing
that it wouldn/'/t.
Slow as she goes,
I wish I would have known,
and such sanguine advice,
you know there is so much
in almost any space
Home truly is where the heart
is.
Praise is for those who try to do the
best that they can.
