An Apple a Day

Contributed by randyjohnson on Friday, 22nd June 2018 @ 12:30:43 AM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

People started returning apples to my store.
Because of word of mouth, they don/'/t want them anymore.
I got pretty irritated because of all of those returns.
People don/'/t want my apples because they have worms.
People don/'/t want them even though I/'/ve started selling them half price.
They don/'/t want my apples because they/'/re smart enough to think twice.
Some say an apple a day keeps the doctor away but I disagree.
Because if you eat one of my apples, a doctor is what you/'/ll need.
I/'/m unhappy and if you could see my face right now, you would see a frown.
The health department just examined my apples and they/'/ve shut me down.

I like this. A solid story about nature, and possibly
all that can happen, and most especially, well,
this is where I come in as a marketing expert.
Let me just say, have you ever thought about
making apple juice?
The worms are smart, they know a good apple
And as everybody who knows organic farming knows,
man, it/'/s the worms who invigorate that darn
soil. You don/'/t seem them though, unless there/'/s
a big big rain, and then, only afterwards.
Sell the apple wood, and make part of the business
a fermentation project in barrels, and sell
it at a low margin in the fall when the colors
change as so to celebrate all the had work
the worms did create.

Peace!

Made me smile.
Love how you/'/ve taken an everyday phrase and crafted a clever piece of humour out of it.
I was never a big fan of apples I have to say....maybe why I/'/ve lived so long :-)
