What was the point of going to college and furthering my education? I/'/ve been here for twenty years and have gotten nothing during the duration. I sell appliances in this crummy store. I quit, I won/'/t work at this place anymore. I have two years of college and nothing to show for it, it sure is a disgrace. A high school graduate could do my job, I should/'/ve been running this place. I/'/ve given you twenty years of my life and I/'/ve never received a promotion. You/'/re the worst boss on Earth, I have received nothing for my devotion. I/'/ll get a better job at a place where my education will be appreciated. It gives me a great deal of pleasure to tell you how much you/'/re hated. All that I did was sell crappy appliances to people during my twenty-year career. You can stick my job where the sun doesn/'/t shine, I/'/m glad to be getting out of here.

How many of us feel or at some time have felt the same frustration?
Knowing our own worth can be an inspiration or a detriment. Depends on how we use the self awareness.
Moving forward does not necessarily require us to spit upon our past. As your poem reminds us, was it not our yesterdays that awakened us to realize our own worth?
