Small metallic splinters fly everywhere as you hammer in the nails, and you dont even blink
With your thoughts of peace of mind you work at night until the sun comes up, you work blind
Your body glistens as your sweat bathes you, people admire the beauty of your power, they all watch you build your home, build your tower
All the places you have gone, all the pieces that you have left behind,
Your face has become a rock, and your eyes are trapped in amber, your determination has become you, now you have no time left to be good, to be kind.
Your goal was to build a giant, not knowing that eventually the giant would be the one building you.
Your arms shake as your fingers burst and bath you; people question the beauty that is power,
They all watch you build your home, build your tower
Your ends may one day justify those means,
But until then, those who ones were friends may justifiably become your foes
But the empire in your mind may just be worth it all, it better, because you have lost the chance to make any other choice. Carrying 10-foot beams on your bare back, youll go up that mountain and built something worthy of your life. And the people they will all watch, and they will all know the ugliness that is pure power
As you built no home, but build your tower
