tortured soul please hold on
one more round before you're done
i can help you realize
i see the pain deep in your eyes
if you knew how much i care
if you could just one moment spare
take the time to look behind
you could see whats in my mind
tortured soul please don't turn back
all the others turn to black
charred remains of memories i knew
not to say it's because of you
i don't push them all away
want you to hear what i can't say
can't take a shot it would ruin your pride
you tried to show me what you held inside
tortured soul your mind may be weak
but the deepest thoughts of which you speak
make me believe theres much more to you
sometimes i think theres nothing i can do
there's no "but when..." or "if only..." to this
the look in your eye i just can't dismiss
so please hold on and i want you to know
that i will be with you wherever you go.
