Today
we
those of us
who consider our self/'/s
in action and speech
as Human
like in the days of old
before the skies
Changed
we will become
Archetypes
for the generations to come
living in caves
painting and carving
on walls of stone
with vague memories
of the one tribe
within our species
who escaped
from the reservation
of the box
who waded through
the rivers of pain and fear
who crawled through the mud
between the legs of the herd
to speak of things
that are never heard
by those
who do nothing

But complain

holy cow,
that is a grand thought!!!
I feel sort of like a distant Cro-Magnon
who accidentally got mixed up with a
Homo-sapien wife all the time.

this is why I write on the walls of caves late at night,
I tell her, again and again,
but she just doesn/'/t seem to understand.

but we love each other just the same.

Peace!

Taking a giant step backward and living again in tribes who escaped from captivity. What a concept!
This is the stuff that science fiction movies are made of! My favorite line comes at the end: TO SPEAK OF THINGS THAT ARE NEVER HEARD OF BY THOSE WHO DO NOTHING.
Gives me chills. This describes my ex husband to a T. :)
