your own thought
as an individual
like a gulp of
drink that one takes
and it quenches your thirst
and it feels good to your gut
going down
like a magical potion
possibly a placebo
that was placed in your
plastic water bottle
or in the bread that
was given to you
by the priest while
you gave thanks
and then drove
off past the homeless
guy walking on the street
saying to yourself
you know what,
and you stop and give
the man a twenty
And he is grateful
And it makes you feel
good.
back home you got
drawers filled with too
many socks,
you got lots of material
things you never use
and probably never
will use
I guess you are just
waiting for someone
to come along
and show the way
I guess that would
be something waiting
for
you write in a song
perhaps
its a shame
its a shame
its a shame
a melodic tune
using only three
chords
Peace! |
