Roses At Her Feet...

Contributed by LovingWhispers on Friday, 6th June 2003 @ 09:35:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

My feelings dance unprotected
As in words they pirouette
Across a stage before the eyes
Of people never met
They entertain the daily few
Who come with friendly eyes
Who when the dance is over,
Leave with no goodbyes
Into the hearts of many
I hope to dance my way
To let them see that here I'll dance
Each and every day
An audience of loving hearts and
Beautiful minds I see
As every dance,each pirouette
Brings them ever closer to me
Sometimes I stumble in my moves
Or lose the rhythmic beat
But there stands one, with hat in hand
Laying roses at my feet
A man who comes here often
To see my every dance
The one who stands in shadows
And carries roses in his hands

I would stand forever just to have the chance to be,
The one who gives you roses for the chills you gave to me,
When from the darkest shadows of this stage I took a chance,
And dared to come into the light to watch your angels dance.

Roses at your feet :o)
