Behind troubled eyes
A storm of intensity rages
Empty shallow good-byes
Lost in a whirl of stages
Denial of what the truth is
Revelations of enlightenment
But only to dismiss
Lost in refusement
A battle with will
Cover up the truth
A heart to conceal
With very little proof
Just a deception of the heart
Locked away from harm
Keeping what is real apart
Losing all of your charm
The truth is there
But you cast it away
As to pretend you don't care
Your love has gone astray
Your deception has won
Your heart has lost
Now she's gone
And she's left to pay the cost
Build up your wall
So strong
So tall
Even though it's wrong
Even after you fall
She won't hear you anymore
When you realize and call
Show up at her door
And break down your wall
She won't be there anymore
Even after you fall
