Get away!
This is my soul
This is my territory
You cant come in
I wont let you!
Ive been alone for to long
Im independent
I dont need you
Besides
You could hurt me
And thats not allowed
My gates are forever up
It has happened before
I let someone in
And they destroyed everything
Its taken me to long
To become whole once more
I wont be broken ever again
What are you doing here?

| First it is "too long" but that is ok. With that being said, I feel that we all put on an armor sometimes after being hurt. Yes, even us guys. But I have also found, like your poem would indicate, that if we out up the keep out sign too long, all that gets in is the trespassers, the ones that care not for our wishes, the thugs so to say. We have to be selective of who we invite in to ensure they don't trash the place...Just my thoughts |
