I can't help but wonder
As I look back with a sigh
Could she ever want me
My hopes get so high
But then I recall
Mistakes I've made before
When I decided to give it a try
And went and knocked at her door
And the hatred she must harbor
For such a strange one like me
Yet I can't help but love her
If only she could see
I pass her each day
Our paths always cross
I always steal a glance
Thinking of what I've lost
It's hard to be alone
Holding someone in your heart
When that person doesn't want you
And you caused it from the start
