Soaring along the skies of a dream

I lay myself onto the cold plain
watching the sapphire blue sky
As the clouds roll by I form
different images in my head
The ocean sparkles with gleam
like a 1000 diamonds reflecting the sun
The cool breeze running at me
like a stampede
The sun shines above me
slowly setting on it's own time
falling asleep as the moon and stars
awake in the night
I watch as an aurora borealis
fills up the starry sky
with beautiful shades of green
I count the falling stars as they
soar along the beautiful sky above
And I think to myself
Will I ever get to soar along those
beautiful skies I watch above me
Will I ever get that far
One day I hope I too can fly along
the morning and starry skies
Like a bird soaring along the winds
above the earth and beyond all life
Soaring along the skies of a dream.
