It was not often that I was seen
amongst my peers I slipped between
lines of sight and closed off minds
that chose to ignore me for better finds
And it was even rarer still
that I would have ever wanted to fill
other's thoughts with comprehension
of my social prowess detention
But at that time my mindset shifted
after viewing one so gifted
with a beauty quite beyond
the trivial powers of any god
And just as quick my heart was taken
skipping beats and forsaking
denying me the strength I need
to introduce myself to she
Nostalgia has taken me to a time
when even I had hoped to find
reassurance in the passing by
dreaming I would catch her eye
It's been months since I first saw her
again my thoughts begin to wander
thinking of a girl I knew
when I was sure she'd seen me too
