Holding Back
When my tears begin to fall
Since my mother passed away
I try to detach myself but
I am backed against the
wall.
Those tears turn into a heavy rain
A never ending flood.
I feel as though I'm drowing -
Slowing going
insane.
As the months roll slowly by
And memories begin to fade
Ever so slowly I realize -
how big a piece of my heart
died.
I have to believe that I will see
my mother in another lifetime -
No malls, no shopping - no hanging out -
A reunion on a
higher degree.
That's just fine - II'll take it - as long as it's Mom
and me.

Joni, this is very sweet of you...I know the feelings only too well....even tho it's been 24 yrs since my Mother passed away...the tears still flow at times...
