Hearing the music, you smile,
"Shall we dance?" you say.
Upon the stage we step,
Lets do this right, I pray.
I stumble like a blind fool,
Knowing not step or dance.
Even to hold you, I know not,
Your love hits me like a lance.
This close to anyone,
I have never been.
The power of your love,
I have never seen.
Amongst the stars we glide,
Yet our feet barely move.
Lost in each others arms,
We dance to the grove.
I was scared and excited at once,
What if I step on her toes?
Fate had nothing to say,
So our love continually grows.
Never was I so nervous,
Yet the reason, I dont know.
After that little dance,
for hours, I was aglow!
Happy and sad, nervous and excited,
I know not what I felt.
I know that if you left me,
It would cause my heart to melt.
The world beckons us all,
And it is time to part.
Dont cry, my little friend,
I tell my sad, little heart.
