Cold--Gentle--
Raindrops fall upon my face
Eyes closed
I lose myself
In the steady patter
Landing on my eyes
For a moment
Silence fills me
Swallow me whole
For a moment
I am at peace
With myself and the world
Chaos leaves me
For someone else
And I realize
How beautiful
Stomping in puddles is
And how deceptively easy
Simplicity is returned

Wonderful poem. All too often we forget to recognize the beauty of this world. Thanks for reminding me.
