Job 4.17-21 Can mortals be righteous before God? Can human beings be pure before their Maker? Even in his servants he puts no trust, And his angels he charges with error; How much more those who live in houses of clay, Whose foundation is in the dust, Who are crushed like a moth. Between morning and evening they are destroyed; They perish forever without any regarding it. Their tent-cord is plucked up within them, And they die devoid of wisdom.
Letter to my readers,
This will be short and sweet. I dont mean to offend anyone and, as always, I will. For that I apologize; but cannot change. Someone will constantly be turned off by any piece of art, and if that doesnt happen, its customary and frivolous. Though these following pages may cause you some distaste, allow me to give you my answer to a question I believe many would have: No, I dont hate God... I dont have faith in his existence. If Im wrong Im wrong. -Spencer Ledyard
To believe in God or in a guiding force because someone tells you to is the height of stupidity. We are given senses to receive our information within. With our own eyes we see, and with our own skin we feel. With our intelligence, it is intended that we understand. But each person must puzzle it out for himself or herself. -Sophy Burnham
Theory
I am what is around me.
Women understand this. One is not duchess A hundred yards from a carriage. These, then are portraits: A black vestibule; A high bed sheltered by curtains.
These are merely instances. -by Wallace Stevens
all the history of human life has been a struggle between wisdom and stupidity. -from The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman
Before God we are all equally wise - and equally foolish. -Albert Einstein
If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him. -Voltaire
The lion and the calf shall lie down together but the calf won't get much sleep. -Woody Allen
All the words of my mouth are righteous; there is nothing twisted or crooked in them. They are all straight to one who understands and right to those who find knowledge. Take my instruction instead of silver, and knowledge rather than choice gold; For wisdom is better than jewels, and all that you may desire cannot compare with her. -Proverb 8.8-11
Who, What, ? 1.God a.A being conceived as the perfect, omnipotent, omniscient originator and ruler of the universe, the principal object of faith and worship in monotheistic religions. b.The force, effect, or a manifestation or aspect of this being. c.The collective thought, sentiment or will of a group who congregate to praise said thought, sentiment or will. d.A final judge who, upon death, redeems those who have followed given rules during life and punishes any who disobey said doctrine, despite admonishment.
