As I rest here against this cold, wet wall...
will you ever pass me by?
As I lie in the grass, the rain falling hard...
will you criticize me as I start to cry?
As I sit alone in the darkness of the night....
will you be the one to hold me extremely close?
As I lie awake in my bed dreaming of you...
will you ever dream of me like I do of you?
As I get angry and scream in pain because he left...
will you be the one that whispers that everything will be okay.
As I lie heart broken in the flowers...
will you be the one that mends my broken heart?
As I grow up and mature with time...
will you be the one to be there- through it all?
As I tell you that I love you and can not live without you...
will you be the one that tells me the same and never leaves me alone?
Cause I was told... a strong man can do all of these things.
Will you be that strong man?

This is so beautiful. It brought forward so many emotions - sadness, fear, hope.....
