Lost Within

Topic: Suicide

I sat there and stared,
So long and so hard,
To find something I'm not,
I wished and I hoped,
To be something more,
But somehow,
Worth it,
I can't seem to find,
I lost my memories,
Sold my soul,
Took away my heart,
And gave away my dreams,
Stripped what little I had,
Took away all my possessions,
Now that I lie here,
in my last moments to live,
I finally realize,
That it's over and gone,
There is nothing more here,
and nothing more there,
only the emptiness of my soul,
and the desperation of my fear.
