DREAMING OF YOU

Contributed by Annie on Monday, 23rd June 2003 @ 06:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Dreaming I was on a beautiful white boat
The sea and sky a seamless bright blue,
With memories of the past, memories of you,
We would sail around the world
You whispered softly,
Then you left, alone you left me.
As the sun sets leaving colors of orange and gray,
Dark shadows deepen, my thoughts stray,
To you I gave my heart, body and soul,
And you, never again will my arms hold.

The water darkens as does the sky
This dream almost over as I cry
For the past and the day you left me,
Awake now my tears still flow softly
There is no boat there is no you,
Neither is there an ocean of the brightest blue
Only turmoil in this life of mine,
I am left in a nightmare, a sad time,
In this dream I really knew
You had left me forever, forever it's true.

2003

Your beautiful poem tells all the pain
like one who walks unclad in rain,
You'll straighten out the so and so
when you get another beau...
