i am totally worthless
but you think
that i am a god
you make yourself believe
there's something in me, worth saving
but we both know there's not
i am the cut that just won't heal
only grows deeper

| it has been awhile since i have read your writings... i had forgotten the beautifully, sadly, sickly way in which you express yourself... this poem is amazing, for lack of a better word... engrossing and raw and sad a nd deep... excellent form and so very true about pills... or cancer... or you (me, anyone, etc...)... amazing... i hope you and your beloved wife are doing ok... blessings... michele |

actually, "double meaning" is a bit of an understatement. it was initially written as a self-description, but the more i read it, the more things i find to liken it to. mostly to addictive things, i.e. drugs, alcohol, relationships, etc. but i think the one thing i've come to associate this scrawl with the most, is religion. in my opinion, this perfectly depicts jesus. just my opinion.
