my symbols are sweet eye-candy
tempting you to make a stand
to set an example
to make your mark
to rid redneck hell of it's freak
marching onward with your christian soldiers
never expecting war
just meek foreign kittens
to enslave and devour
with your halo ablaze
you denounced the defiler
and unknowingly split wide
the gates to Hell
with your spears and your "good book"
you drove a child
straight off the edge of his mind
and you smiled, you twisted *****
for, you knew not what you'd done
not an hour later, a demon returned
to the plain where you toasted your victory
in the body of the child
the demon snarled with rage
and cried out for your blood
and how quick the christian soldiers
are chased into retreat
in the face of a seething threat
you vanished for the moment
and while i was in chains, you fled for good
to fight some holier war
(or perhaps, to save your ass)
but, it's not over
i'll never forget
and i'll never stop
no faith is strong enough
no castle walls high enough
to stop a foot-soldier of hatred
waging unholy war
i'll find you, teddy

This didn't 'suck'. It was quite good although confusing and I failed to figure out whether he was a buddy who left you in your time of need or an enemy. In any case very good imagery as always.

| it was meant to be somewhat cryptic. he was the superintendent of my high school. he ***** with me because i was a satanist and listened to Marilyn Manson in a school full of backstreet boy christians. he ended up being the one who set me off the day i "held the school hostage" as the newspapers said. |

| i completely relate... it was confusing but i pretty much figured it out. my school was filled with the same people. its kinda vague, but the feelings are definutly clear. ~Apryl |
