Secret Wish
Tears from a child so frightened and meek,
asks for an angel one last night.
Voice from a child, barely in a whisper
asks her Mother there by her side.
I guess God must not hear me, am I to young? I asked for an angel , a secret wish
I have. How old must I be before he listens.
Mother would you ask, and tell him for me,
ask him to grant the wish I hide....
A Mother weeps,
and as the child weakens soft words from
her lips gently spoken.
My angels are here to hold me safe, one is for me, God has sent two.
The secret within?
