Grief

The infliction of what happened, Will always be remembered, In my once shattered heart, The thoughts of suicide, My world ripped apart, The scars are my reminder, That show on my thin wrist, Everytime I see them, I have to remember what they did, Everytime he touches her, I cannot seem to bid, The memories farewell, The pain I keep inside, The expressions that I feel, The horror of it all, I cannot hide, I tell, and retell their story, So that people can read it, Like an open book, but still the hurt echos inside me, And I feel like I'm still dangling from their hook, I hide myself In my covers, And never face the sunshine, I cannot seem to bare the light, Because it always reminds me of that night, The hurt is still there, Even though my scars slowly fade, My soul seems like it can't heal, I'll always have to live in this facade.
