Seeing you after so long.
I remember what I saw.
A pale, solemn face, silver eyelashes
Once in awhile a joyless smile flashes fleetingly across the blank page, rarely touching the eyes
So indifferent and unconcerned
Amazing how careless someone can be.
My heart is once again beating
The blood rushing noisily in my ears
I can hear it screaming
I thought I didn't care.
Now, upon seeing you, I know I was wrong.
There's that same face
There's those same distant eyes
There's those same heady feelings
And yet, it's different now
You've been gone
People change, things change
We would never have worked anyway
