I look around and see him
He's right there, beside me
But far away, for I can't
I can pretend not to care
But my heart won't listen
The signs all tell me
You're not allowed him
He's not the one for you
Well, you can tell my head
But my heart won't listen
I ask the Water to tell
To give sign of what's to come
And as I walk to school
The rain pours from the sky
But still my heart won't listen
I look for him in class
But he's not here today
He's gone away, be back later
It's another sign, another no
But still my heart won't listen
And even though it spells disaster
I know it can't ever come to be
I will still press forward
And ask the unasked question
Because my heart won't listen
