On this hot day in July
For someone like you I try
But it's with a moan and a sigh
Oh please don't ask me why
Its' something Id never say
But there's not a lot I can give away
Just this little pray I have
In my own same old way
If you ever look at the sky
And want to reach the stars
I would ask the One up high
To give you wings so you could fly
Now the shades of time are saying
Oh it's time to let you go
And Ill be dying very slowly
Until your next hello.
But before I say goodbye
I will say this with a sigh
Until my heart stops beating
My love for you will never die
So here's to a dream
And here's to a song
Here's to a theme
For you to sing along
Oh heres to you
And heres to our love
Hope you find someone new
Bright as the clouds up above
As I wander around in the evening sun
I cant help but think of you my love
You may forget who I was
But youre the only one that Im thinking of.
