A Happy Future

Images fill my mind of you and I together- we're older, married, and even happier than we are now.
We come home from work and spend the night together, we sit down to dinner, discuss our day, and do the dishes.
You kiss my cheek and touch my hair, as we watch television, chatting and laughing, filling the room with love.
The hours go by, we do what's needed, then I find my place, leaning against your arm, my head on your shoulder.
Bedtime nears, and we hop on in- your arms wrap around me, gently, tightly, and we say goodnight together.
