I start my nightly prayer
Before I go to bed at night
To the elements who watch me
Until the first light
I give thanks to the Fire
For burning away the pain
The heartbreak and distrust
Thank you Fire
I give thanks to the Air
For giving me my needs
The life force that sustains me
Thank you Air
I give thanks to the Earth
For supplying me with crops
Of happiness, family and friends
Thank you Earth
I give thanks to the Water
For quenching my thrist
Of knowledge and power
Thank you Water
I give thanks to the Spirit
For filling me each day
Bringing me closer to the goddess
Thank you Spirit
So I end my nightly prayer
By giving thanks to the faeries
Who watch me and Dragons
Who gaurd me tonight
