Tossed into sleeping backstreets,
Pieces fly in all directions
Tourists taking photos
Of my hearts latest dissection
Sliced straight down the centre,
Opened and explored
Edges peeled slightly,
As feelings oozed onto the floor
Unknowingly,I volunteered
For a scientific project
And ended up in pieces,
Another studied reject
How flattering it was to be
Your centre of attention
So shattering I didn't see
Your scalpel and it's intention
