In the spring the flowers bloom
Brightening this dreary gloom
That follows day by day
Where the faeries used to play
Full of happiness and glee
This place used to be
There were parties and joy
It was the Elve's fiery toy
Shining leaves in the trees
Songs playing on the breeze
Spells and Magick running wild
Now the forest, destruction styled
Then came Nature's worst child
Men started out docile and mild
Turning on the Gods that trusted
Now the temples are rusted
Wars did follow, long and unkind
Wiped from memories of man's mind
Killed off the magickal creatures
Which were Earth's greatest features
Now they're remembered in folk tales
And dusty, dirty forest trails
From folk lore to fiction they did fall
Faeries, elves, unicorns, lepricons all
