DON'T FORGET

Contributed by vercat on Sunday, 13th July 2003 @ 04:35:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Even if I've lost you
To those mirrors
You'll always be
There before my very eyes
Perhaps I can no longer
Hold your hands
Perhaps I can no longer
Conceal your nudity
In white cotton twills
You'll be arrested
By those very evenings
where and when you'll see
It's all stopped, just like that
Before your windowpanes, disappearing
Read my name in the reflections of light
Don't you forget it
You'll be arrested by those very evenings
Don't you forget it

NOUBLIE PAS

Mme si je tai perdue
De ces miroirs-l
Cest encore toi qui seras
Devant mes yeux

Je ne pourrai peut-tre pas
Tenir tes mains
Je ne pourrai peut-tre pas
Couvrir ta nudit
Avec des tulles blancs

Tu seras dnonce par ces soirs-l
Noublie pas

L o tu verras
Un arrt semblable celui-l
Sen va du devant des vitrines
Lis mon nom dans les reflets de lumire
Noublie pas

Tu seras dnonce par ces soirs-l
Noublie pas

VERGISS NICHT

Auch wenn ich dich verloren habe
bei diesen Spiegeln da
du wirst immer noch da sein
vor meinen Augen...

Ich werde vielleicht nicht
deine Hnde halten knnen
ich werde vielleicht nicht
deine Nacktheit verhllen knnen
mit weissem Tll.

Du wirst verraten werden durch diese Spiegel da
vergiss nicht....

Was du sehen wirst
gleicht einem Halt
der vor dem Fenster vorbei geht
lese meinen Namen im Widerschein des Lichts
vergiss nicht.....

Du wirst verraten werden durch diese Abende
vergiss nicht.....

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
