Sheltered child
You live in a house of glass
Innocence can never last
Fragile frame
Bones jut through the skin
Trying to live up to the world's expectations
Is just a sin
Battered one
Where's the love you wish to feel
Time can help those bruises heal
Warped mind
I know it hurts to live
But just remember
You have so much more to give
Addicted body
You need just one more fix
Don't you know your killing yourself
Just for some worthless kicks
Soulful eyes
What have you seen in your long life
Your deep orbs pierce my soul
Like a jagged knife
Pretty girl
Don't you feel some deep need
People think you're invincible
But I know inside you bleed
Hold all the broken ones in your arms today
They need a gift of compassion just to make
it through another day
