What I Say To You....

Contributed by huey on Friday, 9th August 2002 @ 01:39:43 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

Day in and day out, you toil and you sweat
You work and you labor despite your aching back
The pay is terrible and the stress is insane
And you wish that your boss would cut you some slack

Every night you come home tired and depressed
Thinking of how your life is just one big mess
The creditors are calling, the payment's past due
Why is this all happening to you?

You always go attend services, and read the good book
You help wherever you can, not hestitating to look
You pray for others, and kindness you always show
So why is it your life, unlike a river, does not easily flow?

More than once, your bed has been wet with your flowing tears
More than once, you have cowered before your fears
More than once, you've lost that sparkle within your eyes
More than once, the thundering clouds have ruled your skies

So now you ask: What am I suppose to do?
And this is what I shall always say to you:

Pray. Pray with the might that you can muster and never think you have been shunned
Continue. Continue to perform all the wonderful miracles that you've done
Believe. Believe that you will be rewarded because your good will
Wait. Wait and know that soon with happiness your life shall be filled
Thank. Thank all the people who have helped you along the way
Spread. Spread the enlightenment within your soul for others to share
See. Finally see not the hatred of humanity but of humanity's beauty that is so fair....

This brightened up my night! Thanks for sharing this! It's so hard these days to keep the faith... but this poem makes it so easy.
