I can't get you off my mind.
You lurk there,
surfacing at the most unexpected times.
I love you,
I hate you,
most of all,
I want you.
I see you standing in the halls,
laughing with your friends.
Loneliness encircles me,
though I'm surrounded by people.
Try to fill the void,
talking, laughing,
faking happiness,
while my stomach aches with longing.
I love you more than anything,
though you'll never know it.
Too scared to admit it,
I suffer silently.
Watching you by day,
crying silently by night.
It kills me to think
you'll never know,
but I see no other way.
Two months more of torture,
before you go away.
I don't want you to go,
I'll gladly suffer more,
just to see you everyday.
What to do,
I don't know,
tell you,
or let it go?
My friends say I should tell you,
that I've got nothing left to lose.
They're wrong,
I have everything to lose.
You've been my life for years,
seeing you kept me going.
I feel I might drown in pain,
if I knew for sure you didn't feel the same.

Some things are better left unsaid...if not just to protect your heart from more pain....this is such a sad write...
