Market Street La Gal

Contributed by jaeann on Friday, 1st August 2003 @ 12:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Bright lights, bright lights
now I no longer see.
Rumbling train, rumbling train
I wish I could not hear.
Roaring thunder, roaring thunder
take away my breath.
All the voices, so many voices
heed me of my death.

Tumble from the stairs
stumble onto stage
crash into the pole
before their eyes you age.

Shadow all the windows
with the power of a key
lay before the altar
show all they do not see.

Costume after costume
choose a different name
they'll patiently watch you
wait for you to go lame.

Survey the field
go in to kill
lambs to the slaughter
getting all their fill.

Spin in the night
trade little for a dollar
walk the boulevard
silence all that's hollered.

A walk in the park
just another way
curiosity killed the cat
nothing more to say.

Bright lights, bright lights
I no longer want to see.
Rumbling train, rumbling train
you... no more I hear.
Roaring thunder, roaring thunder,
return to me my breath.
All the voices, so many voices
you no longer heed my death.

this gaves me the feeling of a dancer, or an artist in some form that watches the wolves at the door waiting their chance to devour. not truely knowing that person.

just my thought, Crow
