IVE SEARCHED FOR LOVE SO VERY LONG
IVE SEARCHED BOTH HIGH AND LOW
BUT I JUST CANT SEEM TO FIND THE ONE
TO FILL THE VOID IN MY SOUL
WITH THIS PERSON I COULD SHARE
BOTH MY LAUGHTER AND MY TEARS
AND THERED BE A SPECIAL KNOWING
THAT WED SHARE THROUGHOUT THE YEARS
WED WALK HAND IN HAND ALONG THE BEACH
UNDER THE PALE MOONLIGHT
AND OUR HEARTS WOULD MELD AS IF ONE
AS WE SHARED GODS PRECIOUS LIGHT
THERED BE NO NEED TO SPEAK A WORD
FOR IN OUR HEARTS WED KNOW
WHAT WAS ON EACH OTHERS MIND
FOR WED SHARE EACH OTHERS SOUL
AND IF WE WERE EVER PARTED
BY AN ETERNITY OF MILES
WE WOULD MERELY HAVE TO LIFT OUR THOUGHTS
TO BE IN EACH OTHERS ARMS
THEN AT NIGHT WHEN WED DREAM
THE TWO WOULD BECOME AS ONE
AND EVEN THEN OUR HEARTS WOULD JOIN
UNTIL WE MET THE RISING SUN
DEAR MOTHER, FATHER,GOD PLEASE SHARE WITH ME
AND ANSWER THIS PRAYER OF MINE
IF IT IS YOUR HOLY WILL
SEND TO ME THIS SOULMATE OF MINE

| This is a really heartfelt poem ... truly beautiful ... I would only suggest one thing, that you type in upper and lower case, rather than in all capitals ... it is easier on the eye ... just a small criticism though ... the poem is great ... Jan |
