i give to you
these broken words
that no longer mean a thing
i give to you
this loaded gun
and ask you to end everything
i tell you
that i love you no more
i spit upon your face
i breathe deep
and brace myself
ready to feel your hate
but, you cut me deeper
with your apathy
rather have you
stabbing me
but, you just shrug
and turn away
and i'm left cold
another day
your emotions
no longer wasted on me
though i've tried so damn hard
to make you hate me
for, i'm sure your love
is beyond my reach
so before i turn and go
these broken words, with you, i'll leave
i never let you in
because i was afraid
i didn't want to love you
and risk you walking away
i never wanted your love
until you took it away
i never wanted anyone this way
and now, i know it is too late
i'm sorry i didn't trust you
i'm sorry that i was too scared to live
and i'm sorry that these broken words
are all i have left to give

The last two stanzas sound like me. I loved this the bluntness and raw emotion it stirred up. Great poem.
