Time Acquainted by a Smile

Contributed by KJ on Tuesday, 5th August 2003 @ 06:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Time never waits for anyone,
It has it's own agenda, it's own fun.
While I let my life pass by day by day,
I don't know what to do, to say.
I think it's just a phase, just a stage,
Where I'm drowning in my own rage.

I'm watching it pass and just scared,
That at the end I couldn't say I cared.
I'm just a hypocrite of my own reciting,
I do it for the laugh for it to be exciting.
Just too far down in this dark abyss,
Where no one can help me, to assist.

I'm afraid by the end of this year,
That it would come true, my fear.
Where I'm too lost to regain my sanity,
And in the next 10 years it'll catch up to me.
I believe everyday I let everyone down,
Where in fact I'm the one changing' their frown.

I hope that one day soon I'll be found,
That day I'll hear that lovely sound.
And in my mind I'll have no more worry,
It's just a dream of course, don't you see?
I'm hoping for this thing, that will never happen,
Like this will never be perfect, this "poem's" last line.

Time never waits for anyone...
It never did...
Why should it start now?
