because i wait until the day i see him in front of me
every bird who sings, then whispers to me a caring melody
i have conversations with the wind n' breezes in my hair
waiting alone for the day to come that his kisses are my air
i yearn to look into his eyes and see myself in them
be under the same sun and sky, in his arms, and then again
as we two will sit and talk of life, in sweet darlings and dears
breathe in the same atmosphere, so every whisper i might hear
yet forests all around me darken to shades of midnight blue
when this, the yellow halfmoon rises, our sky in different hues
deep within' me i impatiently wait for this most happy day
i sit and write into the night, my dearest love so far away
i so long to say fare thee well, to my northstar in these skies
as with his arms around me, we share his southern cross and sigh...
