These golden chains
these chains of steal
leave deep wounds
that I can't heal.
I try my best
to partake my pain
but I'm too caught up
in these golden chains.
Everywhere I turn
these chains are by my side.
They rob me of my courage
and drain me of my pride.
I'd like to unlock
these chains inside me
my only problem is
that I can't find the key.
