TRY THE TRUTH:

Contributed by RICHARD_CAMPBELL on Friday, 8th August 2003 @ 09:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: Event

IF YOU KNOW THE TRUTH, YOUR EXCUSE.
IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE TRUTH, YOUR BEING ABUSE.
LEARN THE TRUTH, SPEAK THE TRUTH,TELL THE TRUTH,
WON'T YOU PLEASE.

YOUR ENEMY(DEVIL) IS LAUGHTING ALL THE WAY TO HELL'S BANK
TO CHECK YOU IN,WITH AN OPEN NOTE FOR YOUR SOUL.

REMEMBER THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE,
IF YOU BELIEVE.

it's a beautiful poem, richard. It's straight to the point, and makes people really think and consider. But, it could be deeper. You could dig out an example or two. Make it really reflect the way you feel. It is beautiful, and you're a spirited writer, let no one tell you otherwise. Let the pen be your brush, and may the words be your art.

You are so right Richard. But very few people now days feel the same way about it that you do! The truth can set you free, Richard. Because a person that tells the truth doesn't have to remember anything...therefore he is set free. When you lie, you have to cover that one with another lie etc. My Mother used to quote> "Oh, What a tangled web we weave, when first we decided to deceive"
Really enjoyed your poem! And yes I agree with you too!
