The black rose, wilted
With withered petals
Softly comforting each other with
Whispers of reassurance
Droops ominously to its doom
Falls from its high perch of grace
Falls without a sound
An image of fading beauty
Frozen within a frame
Where I long to reach out
My hands grasping yours
My heart melting within yours;
Fire and ice, merging to form
A sculpture of horrific splendor
Molding a promise of love and death
Within it's curves.
The black rose, stoic
Descends in an act of finesse
Embracing the apathetic Ground
A silent tragedy
Unnoticed by oblivious feet
Except as an object of demise
Abandoned, soon to vaporize
Giving existence a final kiss.
And now we are no more
I sleep, darling
Because we are no more.

you draw a great picture of love wrapped in darkness.
