I wish I could go back
To how it was before
when things were so simple
and i didn't have to wonder about your feelings
I wish I could go back
to that giddy feeling
and knowing that you were thinking about me
just as much as i was thinking about you
I wish I could go back
to the beginning
where everything was brand new and
exciting
and i couldn't wait to wake up so i could talk to you
but, i guess i can't go back
I guess things are a little worn, torn, peices don't quite fit together anymore
maybe you don't care as much, or try as hard to make me want to be with you
but, im willing to work at this if you are
lets give it one chance
something good may come out of this....
and maybe one day...
i won't have to wish to go back
because each time things would get better
the new feeling would never go away
and everytime i see you or think about you
i would get that feeling of a new love
everytime i kiss you
it would be just like the first
so lets live in the present...and not have to wish to go back
