when i see the fireflies dance
lighting up gracefully
in oh so perfect moments
you will always come to mind
and the first night
i caught a glimpse of their light
the way we talked for much too long
and how i hungered for your kiss
knowing you were much too special
just to let you slip away
i tried to tell you how i felt
it fell from my lips in jumbles
nervous i instantaneously became
so i began to withdraw my claim
but it was too late
already you knew
what i wanted.. was you
