Beyond the vivacious veneer of the quaint authentic circus tent antiquity like tinsel coated toys chiselled but decorative facades peeling pecariously glinting under the stunted sunbeams drenched in a molten drapery of August candy aromas Mere whiffs not enough There lies the waning exhilaration unlatching the hinges of the doddery rollercoaster They creak grunt bolt and startle but do not invoke adrenaline but rather a nauseating wave of dread. Guffaws amiss And the wenches garish under the midday sun with gel sodden hair slackened against the wind and throbbing rollercoaster scream Coin me a smile because nothing is real anymore Yes scream banefully Gory is your puckered lipstick Of same shade as the pinstripes on the flapping circus tent Dont whisper jaded
