We Will Be Known By The Tracks We Leave Behind

Contributed by lovingcritters on Thursday, 14th August 2003 @ 11:25:00 AM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

Oh Great Spirit on High,
Guide us through Your day.
The day you created for us, here on Mother Earth
When you opened the windows of Your Sun, and brought forth the light.
When the Shadow of the Moon created the night!

Help us leave tracks behind that we know will say.....
Oh Great Spirit...we know you created all things for us....
We love your creatures, and in your splendid way...help us to find our trail here below.....
Leaving tracks behind that never mistreated another living soul!

May our tracks left behind,
lighten many loads.....
carrying others burdens
and making easy their roads.

May our tracks that we leave behind
be light and tender....
Give us the courage of your Great Black Bear.
Who wonders alone, here on this earthly terrain....
Unafraid......unintimidated.........standing tall, standing strong with your Great Aid!

And lest n'er forget O Great Father of all Life...
May we leave tracks behind......so others may follow and see our rebirth,
An appreciation of what you gave.......,
Never wasted just to be saved!

You trusted us, and placed all your creations under our feet......

Your Magnificent, Majestic Mountains we look high to see.
Waterfalls and rippling stream.
Jumping Rainbow Trout....all about!
Your visions of all things green.
Created just for our enjoyment.
Nature's Soothing Scene......

We know you are here with us now.
For proof of your presence is all around us....
Everywhere we look it's You we see!
Rams on a steep rocky precipice...
Or a newborn fawn protected underneath your tree.

May the tracks you left behind for us Oh Father of the Sun and Moon.
Show us Your Plan....help us to understand.
And finally Great One of the Skies....
Help us show in our last tracks as we leave them behind.......
that we followed your plan.....
That we loved your land...

Let us leave tracks behind that are pronounced...
Everything accomplished in your time, O Magnificent One.
After we have followed your trail.....
May our tracks leave behind Your Message...
Saying "Well Done!"

The tracks you see in forest glade
are made by Jeep or scout parade,
A banana skin, an orange peel
Express just how the campers feel.

We know you by the tracks you leave,
It makes a good soul want to heave,
Will such a day be seen to come
when none abuse the total sum...

My ~*sister*~ across the rainbow...how your words echo my heart.I am searching...looking for guidance and acceptance.I read this 3 times yes...but I needed only once to realise...I already belong.I have a wonderful family but I truly feel I was meant to be where my heart lies. With the Native Americans......will one day be home for me.Until then...I still have their way of life coursing me...guiding me,teaching me.Bless you for your gentle way...and knowing of lifes journeys. (((huggers))) Such an inspirational prayer...song of heart and soul.
