A Choice

Contributed by Sweetie on Monday, 18th August 2003 @ 04:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

I'll never understand why some people can hold on while others just let go
Why some people hold back while others put on a show
and why some people are always in the dark while others are always a glow
Life is so hard there's too lil up and too much down
But it's up to us to rise up or fall to the ground
So many choices we have to make
and so much is on the line with each chance we take
We choose to be who we are
we can go nowhere or go far
Every little thing that we do
makes a difference it's true
Every word that we say
can stay or just drift away
This is life
full of hate and strife
full of joy and pleasure and so much pain
full of clouds and rain
but it can be so good
which it should
We need to be thankful for every breath we take
and for all the choices we have to make
We were all put here for a reason
So cherish every day, every season
Live in happiness no matter what's going on
Remember always stay strong
Don't put yourself down
it's time to turn around
Get up on your feet
don't lie or cheat
Face life don't be afraid to raise your voice
life after all is a gift and now a choice
