irma's kids lol

The Tired Lion

irma's kids run all around
flying paws don't touch the ground
black n' grey n' siamese
irma's bows show in their face

from a bowl one takes a drink
little black runt one's in the sink
one brave little missy
sits high up on dog prissy

one now thinks he is a brute
puffy tail and a hiss, too cute
some trying to climb up on the shelf
where they think there might be an elf

eyes of orange, blue, gold and grey
fur so soft, as in my lap one lays
a wild time of kitty freedom
you would laugh if you could meet 'em

curious eyes and six little tails
oops one almost fell in a pail
under the table a wrestling match
little lions who meow, bite and scratch

3 kittens run in the fridge to see what's in it
takes ten to get out what should've took a minute
mischievious eyes that look everywhere
these little sweeties haven't a care

a baby cat gave me a little kiss
ahhh, so what if the rooms amiss
fascination watching windchimes
playful babies make a little rhyme

oh oh, here comes all the rest
does me no good to breathe protest
paws in shoulder, teeth in back
ack!
im under attack!

=^-_-^=

Oh ladyfawn, how very sweet.
I could see it all in my mind's eye.
I think I could even hear them cry!
Little kitties are so cute and neat.
They are little balls of hair and feet.
I just think you did a wonderful job.
Descriptive, colorful, active little tog.
I have dogs, but kittens I've had before....
There's no comparison...I'll take kitties galore.
Loved this poem, Ladyfawn.
Just loved it.
Connie
