Elmwood Estates

ELMWOOD ESTATES
If I get down on my luck again
There`s a place where I can go
There I`d met so many friends
When my life was down so low

I moved into Elmwood Estates
In hopes to start my life anew
I was all alone without a mate
I didn`t know what I would do

In financial crisis I was stuck
A disabled widow at the time
I was really down on my luck
Thought I would lose my mind

A place for the disadvantaged
A place to get upon your feet
Until the day you can manage
Without sleeping on the street

With many people all around
Getting adjusted took me time
But soon many friends I found
Although I didn`t have a dime

Soon neighbors I grew to know
We became the best of friends
To their apartments I would go
They were there in thick or thin

Till you`ve been in this position
You don`t know what you`d do
You may be forced in transition
When you`re all alone and blue

Don`t stick you`re nose in the air
Low income housing never rate
As a place which does not care
You may need Elmwood Estates
